Enable Care & Home Support includes a registered care service that provides care and support for over a hundred people. Fifty of these are in our nursing homes, and another 54 live in smaller homes. Each home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and provides a high standard of care.

At Enable, we care not just for our service users' physical or mental needs but for the whole person.

Registered care at Enable began back in 1990, with the closure of two local hospitals. Over 140 patients transferred to us, along with 300 NHS staff. Two decades later, almost 180 of those staff are still with us, having transferred formally to Enable from the NHS. And half of their former patients are also with us, continuing to enjoy long term care from staff who know them really well. Read more»

The registered care team has its own head of service, supported by a team of service managers and specialist trainers. Together they ensure that the needs of our service users are met, and that staff are properly equipped to carry out their duties effectively and meet or exceed the CQC's standards.
