Occasions Catering

Occasions Catering is a professional catering service based at The Enable Group's JT Project in Huthwaite, Notts.

It prepares, delivers and sets out high quality, competitively-priced buffets for Enable's in-house events and for other organisations in the region, including local authorities and charities. It also creates stylish celebration cakes.

In addition to excellent food, Occasions offers practical supported learning opportunities in a professional setting for people with learning difficulties. Service users take part in...

• buying food and other items from local suppliers and supermarkets
• creating buffets (sandwiches, cakes and drinks) to order
• delivering and setting out the buffets
• producing homemade cakes, including celebration cakes
• learning about Health and Safety
• completing a Basic Food Hygiene course

In 2011, Occasions once again achieved the Food Standards Agency's top hygiene rating (Grade 5).
