Investors in people
At Enable, we know the value of investing in a well trained and supported workforce.
We first achieved the Investors in People (IiP) Standard Award in 2000. After a period of steady gains we received the IiP Bronze Award in July 2010 - as well as its 10 year long service award for a decade of continuous recognition.

With the Bronze Award under our belt, we applied for another review in 2011. This gained us the Investors in People Silver Award, placing us in the top 1% of health and social care organisations in the country.
This new success highlighted our developing strengths as an organisation. The strengths singled out by IiP included
- our recent restructuring of first line management
- greater interdepartmental working
- the introduction of a manager training programme
all of which have increased managerial competence, confidence and openness to feedback.

'They must have listened to people via the staff side meetings - there was extra pay this year for working Christmas and New Year!'
Our next Investors in People review is due in 2013 - and we plan to go for Gold!
