Enable has over 20 years' experience of providing housing, support and care for adults with learning difficulties.
This experience, and close working with our 350 service users, has generated considerable expertise across a range of key services. Some of these services are available to the wider public.
Care and support
The services offered include creating support plans, monitoring support arrangements and conducting independent reviews. Read more »

Occasions Catering prepares, delivers and sets out high quality, competitively-priced buffets for external clients in the region. It also creates stylish celebration cakes. Read more »
Individualised payments
We have a range of services to support people who have been given personal budgets to buy their own care. They include
- a start up package to ensure the right contract for the services needed
- ongoing support options for reviewing/revising those arrangements, including home visits
- finance support in setting up and managing an individual direct payment account, including invoicing and processing payments and payroll (producing payslips, pension obligations, HMRC and PAYE returns, and responding to queries)
- recruitment support, from advertising to interviewing, the required CRB/ISA checks, medical checks and references
- training personal assistants in key skills (eg understanding learning disability, health and safety).
Training
Services for external clients range from one-off sessions to full-length customised courses, on our premises or your own. Many of our courses are City and Guilds or CIEH accredited. Courses include
- understanding learning difficulties - safeguarding adults, The Mental Capacity Act, epilepsy awareness, positive behaviour management
- person-centred working
- personalisation/self-directed support
- leadership and management,
- assessment planning
- health and safety
