Social Work and Nursing Student Placements
Over the past 20 years Enable has become North Derbyshire's biggest independent provider for people with learning difficulties
We deliver a great range of high quality services, including housing, care and support, day services and work projects for our service users.
Our projects can be found in Chesterfield, Matlock, Buxton, Alfreton, Sutton- in-Ashfield, Mansfield and Rotherham. In every project we aim for the best by putting people first.
Our placements offer a range of opportunities for you to expand your learning. We have also organised two international placements in Gozo, Malta.
Nursing Students
- placements in registered care homes and resource centres
- a range of qualified nursing staff to act as placement mentors
- clinical work experience
Social Work Students
These placements include work opportunities in resource centres, in supported living and with service users.
- Experienced staff and six practice teachers to support your placement
- the foundation for self directed learning programme
- multidisciplinary working
Social work and nursing students
Both social work and nursing students benefit from
- direct contact with service users
- opportunities to work with service users with a range of learning disabilities
- access to our accredited training centre, in-house training and available courses
- multi-agency working
- person centred working that promotes independence, choice, inclusion and rights
- working with local authorities, the health community and other partner agencies and organisations.
