We are part of The Enable Group, and equality and opportunity are at the heart of what we do. When someone applies to us for housing with support we focus only on the person's level of housing need and the resources available.

Service user involvement
At Enable, we actively promote the independence, choice and rights of every individual we support – and we work to ensure that everyone has a say in issues that affect them.

An important part of this is our Service User Forum, which elects its own officers from among service users. The Forum meets every two months. It gives people who use our services the opportunity to talk about their tenancies and other issues with our Supported Housing Manager, and with the help of our Tenant Participation Workers.

The history of EHA: two decades of working in partnership.
1991 EHA was set up with a £500 grant. In the same year its Independent Living Project was established; twenty young people with learning difficulties were housed.
2011 we gained the national Investors in People Silver Award – recognition achieved by under 1% of housing and social care organisations.
